Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
At Pure Family Chiropractic, we choose to operate as a cash-based practice, meaning we do not bill or submit to insurance with the exception of traditional Medicare. We do provide what is called a superbill for you to self submit to your insurance. We’re happy to provide those upon request. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but it’s one we stand by because it allows us to serve you better.
What is a chiropractic adjustment?
Chiropractic adjustments re-align the spine and restore the nervous system communication. We use a combination of techniques tailored to your needs, including instruments and light to more aggressive adjustments.
Does it hurt?
Chiropractic care is safe and non-invasive. You may feel sore after your first adjustment, similar to a workout, but most patients experience improvement after their first visit.
Do I have to keep going?
Chiropractic care is part of a healthy lifestyle, like regular exercise or dental visits. White it's not mandatory to continue indefinitely, many patients find long-term wellness care improves overall health and well-being.
Goals of chiropractic care:
Short term: Reduce pain, restore joint function, and balance muscles.
Long term: Achieve functional independence and enhance daily activities. A treatment plan will be based on your health goals and progress.
What is a treatment plan?
The chiropractor will assess your injury, general health, spine condition, and your goals and create a plan individualized for you. Treatment will focus on pain relief, overall health improvement, or long term wellness.
Can you see a chiropractor when pregnant?
Absolutely! Chiropractic care during pregnancy can reduce pain, improve mobility, and help position the baby for labor. It has been shown to ease labor, improve overall pregnancy health, and provide energy. Our office uses specialized equipment for comfort, and our doctors have additional training and certification in pregnancy care.
Do kids need chiropractic?
Yes! Children experience stress from birth, learning to walk, and everyday activities. Chiropractic care supports their health by reducing sickness, improving focus, easing reflux/colic, and promoting overall happiness. Kids respond faster and adjustments are gentle.
